Tami Kruzel is Founder and Executive Director of "What Would Bri Do" (WWBD). After losing her 18-year-old daughter BriAnna in 2013, Tami channeled her grief into a tireless mission to support others. Holding a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Tami initially thrived in the corporate world before transitioning to nursing.
With 11 years of experience as a Registered Nurse and certified in Death and Dying through the Center for Loss & Life Transitions with renowned expert Dr. Alan Wolfelt, Tami's diverse background blends business acumen, compassionate healthcare, and grief support expertise. In 2014, she founded WWBD, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting those in need.
Driven by unwavering passion, Tami ensures WWBD provides safe spaces for healing. Though missing Bri every day, Tami remains unrelenting in her pursuit to ensure no one grieves alone. Her daughter's memory fuels her determination to create a supportive community where healing and hope thrive. Through Bri's Lodge, Tami honors BriAnna's legacy, providing solace and connection to those navigating life's darkest moments.
<1 year on board
I wanted to become a part of the board to ensure my kids and kids like mine, who have suffered the loss of a parent, have the resources available to them as they hit each new phase of life without their dad.
Years on board: 0
As a practicing psychiatrist for more than 25 years, I am very familiar with the impact grief and loss has for individuals and how it affects not only them but their whole family.
4th Year on the Board
I serve on the board for Bri's Lodge in memory of our baby and my sister-in-law, Monica. Experiencing life after these losses revealed the importance of support during times of grief, and I am dedicated to being there for individuals and families in Central MN on their grief journey.
1 year on the board
I joined the board of directors to further the necessary work Bri's Lodge is doing in our community. Grief is a powerful journey that is incredibly difficult to navigate. I wanted to be an active participant in helping others process and find hope.
4th year on the board
I serve on the board for Bri’s Lodge in memory of my grandpa. I also went to school with BriAnna Kruzel and I want to help build our lodge to keep her memory alive along with all those we have lost by giving everyone a safe space for people to grieve and connect with others in the community dealing with similar losses.
Years on the board - less than one
Bri's Lodge offers something unique in our culture and time; as a resource for others experiencing grief, a space for others to express their grief and work through the pain and emotional stress that comes with traumatic life experiences. As a male, there was little talk and support available for me to express my grief as I worked through a traumatic experience. I felt lost and unable to turn to others who I felt understood what I was going through. Through working with Bri's Lodge, I know I will be able to assist others in gaining a valuable resource as they go through their grief.
